Ableton Live is a software music sequencer and DAW (digital audio workstation) that can be used as a live instrument or for recording and production. It is available in a variety of tiers for both MacOS and Windows. Through our training you will learn how to use Ableton for MIDI sequencing, recording, arranging, mixing, mastering, composing, and performing whether it be as an instrument or to program backing tracks to use on stage. Ableton is also capable of driving lighting and projection depending on your systems capabilities.
Packages and on-location training are available for bands and churches that are wanting to use Ableton to run everything from backing tracks to your production rig. You will need a computer that can run Ableton and your own (licensed) copy of Ableton Live for these lessons.
VDMX is a very flexible piece of video software created by VIDVOX. Scales to any job size, audio reactive, accepts code, and able to be controlled remotely, there are not many jobs this piece of software will not do. You can use VDMX to run visuals when DJing, syncing effects with cues from your DAW, present lyric content, and more. Through our training you will learn how to use VDMX for your desired application. Lessons are tailored to the user and to your needs. You will learn how to customize the interface, map to your surface for projection, enable effects that are both audio-reactive and triggered manually, sync to your DAW, and more.
